Tale as old as time, true as it can be...
Bonus Round 3 is now open! This time, the theme is fairy tales and childhood favourites. Entries should be inspired in some way by classic fairy tales, Disney films, or other childhood classics.
If you have an idea for something you’d like to see, please leave a setting, the characters involved and any other details as a PROMPT below. Then read through everyone else’s prompts, and leave a FILL for any which catch your eye. Fills can be in any media, and they need not be long, but please put a little effort in – if anyone starts spamming this post for points, we’ll be able to tell.
You should place PROMPT/FILL, your team name and a brief summary in the comment title. NSFW prompts and fills should mention this in the summary or at the top of the post. Please note that NSFW includes any level of sexual content.
You will be awarded five points per prompt for the first two prompts you leave. The first three fills posted for each prompt will receive 15 points, the next three 10 points, and the next three 5 points. Prompts with ten or more fills will no longer receive fill points.
You can post prompts or fills for any ship this round, including gen/platonic ones (which should be indicated with an & as above). However, you may not fill your own prompt. We also encourage people not to fill prompts from their teammates, although the points will not be deducted if you do.
Bonus round fills can include links provided they are publicly viewable. Works can also be cross-posted to other websites, as there is no anonymity requirement in bonus rounds. However, works posted directly to comments will be limited to 16,000 characters by the Dreamwidth comment limit. Longer works should therefore be divided between multiple comments.
Remember, Team Chuck can participate in bonus rounds. Please note that only two prompts will receive points this round, although you can leave more if you wish to.
This round is now closed.
FILL: Llama Time (Team Ash/Jo)
Date: 2012-12-20 10:11 pm (UTC)Sun was beginning to peek through the shades in the dusty motel room and Sam stretched an arm out to cover his eyes. Yawning, he rolled over, grumbling into the pillow as he glanced at the digital clock. It was almost 7:30 and they had a gig in Raleigh to get to.
As his eyes adjusted to the light and his surroundings, Sam looked over at the other bed in the room. It was empty but the covers were all rumpled up.
“Dean?”
His brow furrowed. Sam turned quickly to survey the rest of the room and when he did, a big, fuzzy llama bounced onto the bed.
Screaming like a little girl, Sam rolled onto the floor, dragging the sheets down with him. He hit the night stand and somehow got caught on the phone cord, knocking the entire receiver to the ground as well.
“Sam, it's me!”
“AAHH,” he scrambled to sit up, crawling over to the other side of the room. The llama hopped off the bed and followed him.
“Sam, it's me!” it repeated. “It's your brother!”
Reaching across the floor, Sam grabbed a shoe at chucked it at the animal.
“Hey! Don't hit me!”
“What the hell is happening? Why is there a talking llama in my room?”
The llama shook out its fleece and glared at Sam who was pulling himself closer to the wall, trying to be as far away as he could.
“I don't know, man, but I'm a fucking llama. We gotta do something about it.”
Sam swallowed the dry lump in his throat and sucked in a breath. “You...you have Dean's voice.”
Rolling its eyes, the llama hit Sam's leg with its hoof. “'Cause I am Dean, dumbass.”
“But...but how?”
“I don't know! You think I can research like this? I don't even have hands!”
The corner of Sam's mouth almost turned up into a smile but he stopped himself. This was all too weird. Perhaps it was a dream? He shook his head. No. They'd had weird dreams before but this had one name stamped all over it.
“Gabriel.”
Dean-llama cocked his head to the side. “The angel? What about him?”
“I bet he did this.” Standing to his feet, Sam nodded slowly to himself. He smoothed his hands over the front of his clothes and looked down at the animal.
“That bastard,” Dean-llama huffed, blowing some fuzzy fleece out of his eyes. “Wait 'til I get a hold of him, I'm gonna –”
“Why a llama though?” Sam picked up the blankets and phone he'd knocked over before, watching Dean-llama out of the corner of his eye the whole time, still unable to process what was happening.
“Don't ask me. There is no way in hell I'm going out in public like this.”
~ Thirty Minutes Later ~
“I can't believe I'm doing this,” Dean-llama shook his head as him and Sam walked down the sidewalk in downtown Raleigh. “Nobody has llamas in North Carolina!”
“Shut up, Dean!” Sam tugged the collar he'd picked up at Pet Smart on the way. “Llamas don't talk, remember?”
He spoke in a hushed tone so the people walking by giving him strange looks and stepping far around the animal didn't get even more weirded out.
“If Gabriel's really behind this, we have to find him and find the poltergeist before it's too late. In my opinion, I think we should take care of the job first.”
Dean-llama spun his head around and spit at Sam.
“Woah!” Sam leaned back and wiped off his shirt. “Bad llama.”
“Shut up.” Dean-llama continued walking. “Just find this poltergeist and make it fast. I'm craving some alfalfa.”
